There's always Hope for the Academy Awards. Bob Hope will serve as a presenter when the Oscars are passed out March 29 and the occasion also will mark the 50th anniversary of his first appearance at the ceremony. Hope has never won an Academy Award - although he has an honorary award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for individual achievement - but is still an Oscar institution. This will be his 26th appearance at an Oscars show and Hope was the host when the first presentation ceremony was televised in 1953, as well as in 1966 when the show was broadcast in color. In all, Hope has hosted the show 15 times and is the only person to host five consecutive years (1958 through 1962).
