Hundreds of students clashed with riot police Tuesday and burned a two-headed effigy of President Bush and President Roh Tae-woo to protest Bush's scheduled stopover in Seoul this month on his way home from Japan and China.

The protesters, about 700 members of a dissident student organization, threw hundreds of firebombs and rocks at about 500 riot police outside Hanyang University in eastern Seoul and police responded with dozens of tear gas grenades.Witnesses said some students and policemen were injured, but authorities did not immediately release reports of casualties or arrests.
