A musical comedy about how Wyoming won the vote will open at Valley Center Playhouse Friday. Performances of Buddy Youngreen's "Petticoats and Pettifoggers" are at 8 p.m. each Friday, Saturday, and Monday through March 20.
Director Youngreen wrote the production in 1969 for the 100th anniversary of women's suffrage. It was presented at Diamond Lil's in Jackson, Wyo., and in 1970 as the premiere production at Sundance Summer Theater.Cast includes Carol Hancock as Esther Morris, the first woman to hold public office, Boyd Hancock as her husband, Toni Youngreen, Kristin Townsend, and Jeannine Lasky.
Tickets are $3.50 general admission, $2.75 for students and senior citizens, and $13.50 for a family. Group reservations can be made by phoning 785-1186. The theater is at 780 N. Second East, Lindon.
