The Utah Shakespearean festival "Costume Cavalcade" traveled this past week to the greater Phoenix area for the fourth year in a row.

An educational and promotional tool now in its 22nd year, the calvalcade features a fashion show of Shakespearean Era costumes as well as other entertainment.The cavalcade performed throughout the Valley of the sun, making stops in retirement centers, RV parks, and elementary and secondary schools, climaxing with a two-day celebration at the Borgata shopping Center in Scottsdale.

One highlight of the visit was a four-day Shakespeare Acting Workshop for miniority high school students, conducted by Southern Utah State College alumnus Jimmy Velasquez, now a graduate student in theater at Penn State University.
