The Davis County School District will offer a weeklong summer leadership training camp for sixth-graders about to enter junior high school, called "We the People We Lead the Way."

The camp is named in commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the U.S. Constitution. The program will run June 13-17 at Viewmont High School and June 20-24 at Clearfield High.This prelude to junior high school will be a balanced academic program featuring courses in history and economics, creative expression, creative drama, computer use, math, physical education and leadership training. The five days will begin with keynote speeches by civic leaders and continue with activities and projects designed to promote interaction and develop creativity and positive self-image.

Cost will be $85, with a $25 deposit due at the time of registration and the balance due the first day of class. Limited sources are available for financial assistance and student scholarships. Registration forms are available at local elementary schools.
