Jonathan Bartholomew, 5, imitates rock art by Joe Pachak at the Utah Museum of Natural History Saturday. Bartholomew and about 200 other children participated in the museum's annual Science and Creativity Day. For many kids, science is a hard class you take in school and don't enjoy much. But Mary Gesicki, museum curator of education, said that at the museum's Science and Creativity Day "everything has a scientific theme, but we try to make it artsy and get the children interested in science for the fun of it." Visitors to the museum were able to grind corn like ancient Indians or paint their hands with wild animal patterns.
