Cinematic trashmeister John Waters has been enshrined in the Wesleyan University Cinema Archives in Middletown, Conn. Waters, creator of the shock movies "Pink Flamingos" and "Female Trouble" and the more conventional "Hairspray," donated scripts, scrapbooks and the like from his career, joining Clint Eastwood, Frank Capra, Ingrid Berg-man and Elia Kazan in the Wesleyan facility. "Because John Waters is a young and original talent, with an active career as director and writer, his collection is a developing one," said Candace Bothwell, associate curator of the Wesleyan Cinema Archives.
