The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has ruled a woman who sued her ex-husband to collect unpaid alimony can garnish the retiree's federally protected pension fund.

In a decision released Thursday, the high court voted 6-1 that Eleanore Stinner was entitled to collect nearly a decade's worth of unpaid alimony from pension payments made to ex-husband Donald Stinner."This was a case where a guy made a deal with his ex-wife and he tried to back out of it and the court wouldn't let him," said Jackson Sigmon, the Bethlehem attorney who represented Eleanore Stinner.
