One man was shot to death, two men suffered gunshot wounds and a fourth victim was clubbed over the head in two separate incidents of apparent gang-related violence Saturday, authorities said.

Eduardo Morales, 18, and Mario Macias, 20, were shot early Saturday by two suspected gang members on bicycles while they sat in the back seat of a car parked in suburban Lynwood, said Los Angeles County Sheriff's Sgt. Ernie Roop.Morales was hit in the chest and abdomen and was pronounced dead at St. Francis Medical Center. Macias was wounded in the left buttock and was listed in stable condition, Roop said.

In East Los Angeles, a man was shot and wounded and a teenager was hit on the head with a baseball bat during a gang fight.

John Mendez, 28, was in serious condition at County-USC Medical Center with a gunshot wound in the chest and Derrick Parra, 16, was treated for the clubbing injury and released, said hospital spokeswoman Adelaida De La Cerda.

Mendez and Parra and two or three other companions were involved in a brawl with three men and a teenager, said sheriff's Deputy Gabe Ramirez.

Parra was hit on the head with a baseball bat and then helped by his companions into a pickup truck, Ra-mirez said. They fled with the other group in pursuit and then crashed a short distance away, Ramirez said.

Mendez was shot by one member of the pursuing group, and another man fired four shots with the same gun but missed, Ramirez said.

Robert Espinoza, 20, who allegedly fired the first shot, and Luis Del-villar, 23, who allegedly fired the other shots, were arrested for investigation of attempted murder, Ra-mirez said. Armando Delvillar, 22, and a 16-year-old boy who was not identified were arrested for investigation of assault with a deadly weapon.
