Lucille Parry Peterson, 86, a life long resident of Ogden, died Thursday, February 24, 1994 in Ogden.

She was born May 1, 1907 in Ogden, the sixth child of Chauncey and Julia Eliza Hutchens Parry. She married M. Blaine Peterson, May 18, 1932 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died July 15, 1985.She attended Weber College and Utah State University, and studied music one year in New York City. Mrs. Peterson was secretary to President Aaron W. Tracy at Weber College. She also worked in the U.S. Treasury in Washington D.C., the U.S. Forest Service in Salt Lake City, and in the Weber County Assessor's Office. She was secretary to Weber College Alumni Association for several years, a member of the Weber College Board of Trustees, serving on the Faculty and Curriculum Committee, and was a member of the Utah State Board of Regents of Higher Education.

She was active member of the LDS Church, serving as presidents of ward and stake Primary, M.I.A.s and Relief Society in Ogden, Monticello, Utah and Washington D.C. She was a member of the Relief Society General Board for five years, during which time she visited each district and stake in South America. She accompanied her husband to Munich, Germany, when he served as president of the Germany South Mission, during which time more than 600 missionaries served.

Survived by two sons, two daughters: Dr. Richard B. Peterson and wife Joan, Salt Lake City; Thomas P. Peterson and wife Frankie, Sun Valley, Idaho; Mrs. Bill G. (Judi) Keith, of Roy; Mrs. Van (Marylu) Johnson, of Sandy; 17 grandchildren, and 19 great-granchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Reed (Fern) Taylor, of Ogden.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 1 p.m. at Lindquist Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may call at the mortuary Tuesday from 11:45-12:45 p.m. Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
