Investigators Wednesday found the stabbed bodies of a woman and her daughter in their Long Island home where police alleged the woman's knife-wielding son had slashed and seriously wounded another sister and her husband.

Keith Muckle, 30, was subdued by his sister's husband, who was able to grab a baseball bat and knock the knife from Muckle's hand, said Officer Charles Koller, a spokesman for Nassau County Police.Detectives said they are unsure why Muckle attacked his family members, and they declined to say whether he was responsible for the killings of his mother and sister, whose bodies were found upstairs, Koller said.
