Edwin G. Svikhart has been appointed president of Custom Equipment Corp. and Met-Tek Inc., two wholly owned subsidiaries of C.E.C. Industries Corp., Salt Lake City. George Matthews, company chairman and president, said Svikhart also will serve as a director and vice president of C.E.C.

Matthews also announced that Robert A. Wilson, executive vice president of the two companies, will retire. He will remain as a director to provide consulting services.He said C.E.C. had a period of declining sales and profits after the merger with Justheim Petroleum Co. Dec. 31, 1986. Matthews expects the company to rebound in the fiscal year ending March 31, 1989.
