A former Suffolk County prosecutor has pleaded guilty to charges he planted evidence in an attempt to link officials connected with Gov. Michael Dukakis' presidential bid to a suspected drug dealer.

Kevin Ross, 33, a former prosecutor with the Suffolk County district attorney's office, was arrested last October. He was charged with forging entries in an address book and planting it as evidence in an attempt to link Dukakis campaign aides with accused cocaine dealer Jose Umberto Rivas.Ross pleaded guilty Monday in federal court in Boston to charges he planted the phony address book into evidence seized from Rivas's home.
