Brent D. Ward, former U.S. Attorney for Utah, has been named senior vice president and general counsel for Huntsman Chemical Corp., chairman and chief executive Jon M. Huntsman said Monday.
Ward, who stepped down as U.S. attorney last Friday, said he joined Huntsman because of "its track record and its vision." His appointment is effective Feb. 20."Huntsman Chemical's past activities and its plans for the future presented a most exciting prospect for someone with my background and experience," said Ward. "My high regard for Jon Huntsman and his accomplishments was also a significant factor in my decision."
Huntsman Chemical is the largest privately held chemical company in the nation with major manufacturing facilities in North America and Europe.
Brent M. Stevenson, formerly Huntsman's executive vice president and general counsel, has been named president of Huntsman Holdings, an affiliated company.
