The Ogden Internal Revenue Service Center has been selected by the Office of Business Management as one of two centers to represent the IRS as a prototype for quality improvement.
Centers at Ogden and Fresno, Calif., will serve as models of quality management for other federal agencies this year, IRS officials said."I'm extremely pleased for the staff . . . we look forward to sharing our quality improvements with other federal agencies," said Deborah Decker, assistant director of the center.
As a prototype agency, the Ogden Center probably will offer seminars and tours for federal officials, Decker said. Representatives of the national IRS office, the Ogden and Fresno IRS centers and OBM will meet to decide how the program will work, she said.
The OBM selected six federal organizations from a pool of 57 for outstanding daily operations and impact on working environments.
