Two Salt Lake Valley residents are among 43 Brigham Young University students demonstrating outstanding academic achievements and public service who have won the Edwin Smith Hinckley Scholarship.

Ian Forrest of Salt Lake City and Terri Casey of West Valley have received the scholarship, worth $1,100 per semester. It was established 34 years ago by the children of Edwin Smith Hinckley, a former BYU professor and a counselor to former BYU President George Brimhall.
