A Park City High School senior has been awarded a $1,000 scholarship by the Jostens Foundation, one of 300 recipients nationwide.

Chris Eisenberg, who is student body president and ranked No. 1 in his high school class of 103, will use the award when he attends Stanford University next fall.

Principal Jack Dozier said this is the first time a Park City student has received the prestigious scholarship, awarded to seniors based on academic performance and community involvement.

Eisenberg holds a 3.847 grade point average and will represent Utah in national Academic Decathalon competition in San Antonio later this month. He is also a Sterling Scholar candidate from his school.
