Kandace Breding, a West Valley woman who was injured in a Thursday morning house fire, was in fair condition Friday at University Hospital, a hospital spokesman said.

Breding, 25, suffered mainly smoke inhalation but also second- and third-degree burns over 3 percent of her body when she jumped through a window with her son to escape the family's burning home.The youngster, Jeremy, 2, and his father, Elliott, were treated and released from University and Pioneer Valley hospitals, respectively.
