South central Utah was rattled by two small earthquakes late Thursday and Friday morning, but there were no reports of damage or injuries, the University of Utah seismograph stations reported.

Senior staff seismologist Sue Nava said the first quake, measuring 3.1 magnitude on the Richter scale, occurred at 9:15 p.m. MST, 11 miles east of Beaver.The second quake, magnitude 3.0, occurred at 7:04 a.m. MST Friday. Nava said it was an aftershock from last Sunday's 5.4 quake in north central Sevier County.

She said no one reported feeling either of the most recent quakes.
