Estes Development Co., an Arizona-based commercial developer, has started construction on the first phase of the $21.3 million Cross-towne Centre on the southeast corner of 54th South and Redwood Road.
When completed, the center will have 426,000 square feet of space on 35.5 acres housing a mixture of retail and office space.Phase one will be anchored by a 114,000-square-foot Home Club, a California-based home improvement center. It also will contain 13,650 square feet of small shop space and three retail pads totaling 17,000 square feet
Construction on the first phase will be completed by June, and construction on the second phase will begin next autumn. The buildings will be constructed of brick and stucco with ceramic tile accents and a patina-copper roof.
Architect of the facility is Allred, Soffe, Tuttle and Wilkenson, engineering was provided by Eckhoff, Watson and Praetor and Kerbs Construction was the general contractor. Consolidated Realty Group handled the land acquisition and is the exclusive leasing agent for the project.
