Frances Schreuder, a former New York socialite convicted of first-degree murder for masterminding her father's death, has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in U.S. Bankruptcy Court, records show.

Schreuder, convicted in 1983 of ordering her 17-year-old son, Marc, to kill her father, auto-parts magnate Franklin Bradshaw, filed the bankruptcy documents on Friday.Her bankruptcy attorney, Roger Segal, said he had no comment on the filing.
