President Bush, suffering from laryngitis, canceled a speaking appearance Wednesday before the National Religious Broadcasters.

The 64-year-old president showed up for work in the Oval Office at 7:30 a.m. EST but decided not to deliver the speech at the hotel where the broadcasters have been meeting, according to White House spokesman Roman Popadiuk.Popadiuk insisted the president is "feeling absolutely superb," however. He said Bush was "taking a decongestant" and was being treated by Dr. Lawrence Mohr, the acting White House physician.
