Swedish rookie Catharina Glasser-Bjerner, 24, skied eights runs to victory in the giant slalom of the Stowe Cup at Winter Carnival.

Already sitting pretty as the overall tour leader, Glasser-Bjerner reaffirmed her hold in giant slalom Saturday.Glasser-Bjerner had to overtake Austria's Roswitha Raudaschl, currently in second place, to win the final heat.

Glasser-Bjerner trailed Raudaschl after the first run of the two run pro format, but was able to make up some time in the second run.

"I knew that the first run was not that good," Glasser-Bjerner said. "I had to catch up. I was a little angry in the second run,"

Glasser-Bjerner is dominating giant slalon events this winter, capturing first place at Park City, Utah; Waterville Valley, N.H.; and Saturday at Stowe.
