Children ages 3 to 8 are invited to bring their rocks, their imaginations and their curiosity to a Science and Creativity Day Feb. 11 at the Utah Museum of Natural History.
The event, sponsored by the museum and the University of Utah Young Alumni Association, will run from 1 to 4 p.m. and will include rock art sculptures, a rock art scavenger hunt, a mini topaz mine and films. Children may bring their own rocks for identification.Pre-registration is required by Feb. 1 for museum members and University of Utah Little Utes. Registration is open to the public after that date but must be completed by Feb. 8. The fee is $3.50 per child. An additional $5 donation is requested to help support museum education programs.
