Low-income youths between ages 16 and 21 are eligible for about 30 scholarships available through Salt Lake County's federally funded Job Training Partnership Act.

Scholarship recipients will receive career counseling, job placement, up to two years of classroom training at local public or private schools and other services free of charge.Rod Romboy, director of the Career Guidance Center, said the scholarships will likely not last long.
