The Utah Math Science Network will sponsor the 10th "Expanding Your Horizons" conference for young women of junior and senior high school age Feb. 25 in the University of Utah's Olpin Union.

The conference encourages females to seek careers in technical areas.Keynote speaker will be Kathleen Harer, chief of the Industrial Safety Branch of the Kennedy Space Center. She is the 1988 national president of the Society of Women Engineers.

Other speakers will be Ruth Novak, vice president of Strategic Propulsion and general manager at Hercules Aerospace Co.; Afesa Adams, associate academic vice president at the U.; Ann Erickson, acting academic vice president, Salt Lake Community College; and Sophia Symko, 1988 Miss Utah and a physics graduate of the U.
