Gov. Norm Bangerter wants advice from educators.

Friday he announced the formation of the Education Advisory Committee, composed primarily of teachers and administrators."Education and educators have been through some very difficult and critical times during the past few years," Bangerter said. "It is my hope at the beginning of my second term that many of the problems in education can be addressed and resolved."

He expressed faith in educators as those "who will best be able to provide the solutions."

The committee will meet every six weeks or so to explore issues of common concern. Its first meeting will be Feb. 10, 1:30 p.m., in the governor's board room at the State Capitol.
