Cara Dunne, a seven-year member of the U.S. Blind and U.S. Disabled Ski teams and double silver medalist at the 1988 Winter Olympic Games for the Disabled, will be one of dozens of disabled skiers who will compete this week.

The skiers, from throughout the region, will vie for prizes in the Chapstick Challenge," sponsored by Huntsman Chemical Jan. 28 and 29 at Park City Resort.The race is one of a series of 18 regional qualifying races being held nationally. It's a chance for regional racers to improve their skills and to compete ultimately for a spot on the U.S. Disabled Ski Team.

The courses are set double pole with the appropriate difficulty factor to prepare the racers for the courses they will run at the National Championships in Winter Park, Colo., on March 26-April 1.
