Carl H. Rosell, 90, a long-time member of and former president of the International Visitors Utah Council, which hosts U.S. State Department guests, died Jan. 24, in Salt Lake City.
Mr. Rosell was active in the local real estate business for several years, was a factory sales promotion representative for Chevrolet and Buick in Utah and Idaho, operated a Chevrolet garage in Brigham City and from 1935 to 1965 was district representative for Hills Bros. Coffee, Inc.A charter member of the Manufacturers Representative Club, Mr. Rosell was a member of the Bonneville Knife and Fork Club and active in the Sons of Utah Pioneers.
As executive secretary, president and a long-time member of the board of directors of International Visitors Utah Council, Mr. Rosell hosted many foreign diplomats and VIPs from foreign countries, including Russian basketball players, Japanese businessmen and high-ranking European clergymen.
Funeral services will be Friday at noon in the Monument Park 1st Ward Chapel, 1005 S. 20th East. Burial will be in Salt Lake City Cemetery. Friends may call at Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary, 2350 E. 13th South, Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the ward chapel Friday an hour before services.
