Two Salt Lake County men were booked into jail Wednesday after Sandy detectives received an anonymous tip about an unsolved burglary.
Sheriff's Detective Mike Eldredge said the arrests may have prevented at least one other burglary that had been planned but not carried out.
An informant gave investigators enough information about the two men to link them to the Sunday afternoon burglary of a house near 25th East and 118th South.
All of the items reported stolen from the house were recovered. "We recovered computers, stereos, TVs, a guitar it's nice once in a while. We don't always get that," Eldredge said.
Some of the items were found in one of the arrested men's bedroom at the Bonneville Halfway House in Salt Lake City; the rest was found during the search of a Taylorsville apartment where the second man was arrested.
