Jeff Chatman of BYU will be one of 10 players competing for the West at the NCAA's All-Star game on Thursday in Kansas City.

Chatman joins Wyoming's Fennis Dembo as the Western Athletic Conference's only representatives. The remainder of the West team is Jeff Grayer of Iowa State, Troy Lewis of Purdue, Mitch Richmond of Kansas State, Michael Williams of Baylor, Brian Shaw of Cal-Santa Barbara, Andrew Lang of Arkansas, Gerald Paddio of UNLV and Jerry Johnson of Florida Southern, a division II school.Also attending the Final Four from BYU will be junior forward Michael Smith, who will be honored as the GTE Academic All-America of the year for the university division.
