Thomas H. Pettigrew, 81, and his wife, Katie, 80, rest in the emergency room at Beaufort Memorial Hospital in Beaufort, S.C. The couple, on a daylong fishing trip, were blown out to sea in their boat. After three days, their boat washed up on an uninhabited island where they spent two days before being rescued Monday by a Marine helicoptor. Pettigrew, in stable condition, will be hospitalized for several days. Mrs. Pettigrew has been released from the hospital.
