The Brigham Street Inn, Salt Lake City, and Stein Erickson Lodge, Park City, have been named winners of the Mobil Travel Guide's Four-Star Award for 1989.
The winners are among only 383 of more than 21,000 North American lodgings and restaurants listed in the Guide to receive Four Stars this year."Less than 2 percent of the establishments we rate are considered worthy of our Four-Star Award," said Richard J. Marcoux, manager of the New York-based Mobil Travel Guide, which is now in its 32nd year of publication.
"The Four-Star Award means an establishment is outstanding and worth a special trip. Business travelers as well as vacationers visiting our Four-Star winners in Utah are assured a rewarding experience."
The Mobil Travel Guide rates hotels, motels, motor inns, resorts, inns and restaurants on a one-to-five-star system. All four-star establishments are recognized for "luxurious decor and furnishings, impeccable maintenance and outstanding service and amenities."
Four-Star restaurants are additionally recognized for "superb cuisine and excellent wine lists."
