Four $1,000 scholarships are being offered by the Uintah Basin Section of the Society of Petroleum Engineers for the coming 1989-1990 school year.
All 1989 high school graduates, college undergraduates and college graduate students majoring in any field of engineering are encouraged to apply.Applicants must have attended a Uintah Basin high school or must currently be residing in the Uintah Basin. The Uintah Basin is bound by Roosevelt on the west and by three Colorado towns - Craig, Dinosaur and Grand Junction - on the east, north and south, respectively.
Applicants must have a 3.0 grade point to be eligible. Applications can be obtained from high school guidance counselors, college financial aid and engineering offices or by calling Andrew Franks at (303) 675-3700.
Applications are due by April 1. Scholarship recipients will be notified by June 1.
