Utahns should be aware of two touring dance events coming to the state in late February and early March.
On Feb. 25, Les Ballets Trockadero di Monte Carlo, an all-male troupe, will bring its comic ballet en travestie to the Capitol Theater, dancing a program of balletic spoofs.And on March 1, also at the Capitol Theater, soloists of the Bolshoi and Kiev Ballets will appear with the Los Angeles Ballet. From the Bolshoi come Alla Khaniashvili-Artiushkina and her husband Vitaly Artiushkin, who danced with the Moscow Classical Ballet at Weber State College last fall. Kiev Ballet principal dancers will be Evgenia Kostyleva and Anatoli Kucheruk.
John Clifford is artistic director of the Los Angeles Ballet, and Allegra Kent, a former star of the New York City Ballet, will also perform.
Tickets for both events are now on sale at the Salt Palace ticket office, and all Smith'sTix locations.
