Funding to plan remodeling and construction of libraries at Utah's nine colleges and universities heads the priority list for planning projects of the State Building Board.

Higher education officials and state building board representatives told the Government and Capital Facilities Committee Friday that almost $300,000 should be appropriated to plan new libraries, additions and improvements at the institutions.The governor's budget recommends planning money for only two projects - new libraries at Salt Lake Community College and Utah Valley Community. The legislative analyst recommends planning funds for Salt Lake Community College.
