Scores of police descended on a Brooklyn apartment Friday and recaptured an accused double murderer freed from Rikers Island through a paperwork forgery.

George Suarez, 35, gave up peacefully at 1:20 a.m. when squads of police Emergency Services Unit officers and Correction Department officers, acting on a tip, surrounded the sprawling Starrett City project in Brooklyn, Correction Department spokeswoman Ruby Ryles said. Suarez was traced to the apartment of his sister-in-law, Theresa Toulon, through "interviews and an investigation."
