A fire apparently touched off by a Molotov cocktail destroyed a wood frame house Friday, trapping and killing six people on the second floor, investigators said.

Police and fire investigators said the firebomb was thrown through a living room window at the 2 story home at about 3 a.m. and the building was engulfed in flames by the time firefighters arrived.Thee adults and three children died in the blaze - apparently members of two different families, Harold Knabe, a spokesman for the Kansas City fire department said.
