A company designed to help people with credit problems opened an office in Provo on Monday.

Financial Freedom Enterprises, 189 W. Fourth North, offers services to help people avoid bankruptcy. "We offer honorable alternatives to bankruptcy," said Carol Walker, owner of the company, based in Idaho Falls.No regulatory agency in Utah monitors companies like Financial Freedom Enterprises, so the company's financial dealings are administered in Idaho Falls, Walker said.

"Obviously there's a need here for this kind of business, so we're glad to have you," said Steve Densley, president of the Provo-Orem Chamber of Commerce, at the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
