Brigham Young wide receiver Chuck Cutler has been named as one of six national winners of the first annual Woody Hayes National Scholar Athlete Award, sponsored by the University Sertoma Club.
Cutler, a senior wide receiver from Draper, Utah, was selected by a national panel for the award based on athletic, academic, leadership, community service and high moral character.A $1,500 scholarship will be given to BYU in his name. And Cutler will fly to Columbus, Ohio, for an official presentation Jan. 27. He is the Division I male winner of the Hayes Award. The Sertoma Club selected a male and female athlete from divisions I, II and III.
