Corey Hofman will be lost for the rest of the season following surgery on his injured knee, Brigham Young wrestling Coach Alan Albright said Tuesday.

Hofman, a sophomore from Pocatello, Idaho, tore a knee ligament Jan. 12 during practice, said Albright. He underwent surgery on the knee Monday.Hofman had an 8-4 record at 134 pounds this season. Albright said another sophomore, Ray Leonard, may move up to replace Hofman at 134 pounds. Leonard has been BYU's No. 2 wrestler at 126 pounds.
