Although researchers had previously suggested that diet has no effect on arthritis, they are now reconsidering a possible relationship between the two.

"But, there is not yet enough evidence to clearly understand how diet might help or hurt or whether people with arthritis should adopt special diets," says an Arthritis Foundation statement.In an effort to keep arthritis sufferers abreast of new research and changes, the Arthritis Foundation has published, "Diet Guidelines and Research."
