A computer program analyst was elected president of the Murray Board of Education Wednesday night.

Bruce R. Cutler, who represents southwest Murray, was elected unanimously to the one-year term. He has been on the five-member board for two years, serving the last year as vice president.Joyce Anderson, a travel agent, was elected vice president. She has been on the board six years.

Two new members received the oath of office from Salt Lake County Clerk Dixon Hindley. They are Sherry Madsen, who represents southeast Murray, and Margaret Nelson, who represents northwest Murray.

The board also honored two outgoing members, former board president George I. Brown, who served 12 years, and Dale Ahlberg, who served 16 years.
