Salt Lake police have requested the public's help in locating a woman who has been missing for about three months.

Robin C. Burson, 32, was last seen Oct. 22 by friends who dropped her off at her apartment, 1926 S. West Temple. Burson and her friends had been drinking at the Foxy Lady Bar, 1704 S. Main.Detective Kyle Jones said her disappearance is suspicious because she has made no inquiries about her 7-year-old son and has not picked up her welfare checks or her employment check.

Police are also seeking her live-in boyfriend, Ocied Barnes, 30, who left town Oct. 29. Before leaving, however, Barnes reportedly told acquaintances that Burson had left with a truck driver.

Burson's son was with Barnes until Oct. 29, when her mother came to the apartment to take custody of the child. That same day, Burson's mother reported her daughter missing.

"Ms. Burson made no indication to anybody that she was planning to leave," Jones said. "It is unknown whether she and Barnes are together or if Barnes has had any contact with her since she disappeared."

Burson, who worked as a maid at a local hotel, is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, about 140 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.

Barnes may be driving a brown 1976 Ford Pinto, Utah plate number 867 CFE.

Anyone with information is asked to call Jones or Detective Jim Bell, 799-3737.
