Rep. Don Strong, R-Springville, took a few minutes on the House floor to thank those who have aided him in getting around Capitol Hill. Strong, who returned to the House this year for a seventh term, is confined to a three-wheeled motorized cart because he has multiple sclerosis.

"It's only through the help of a lot of good people - my kids included - that I can do this," Strong told his fellow lawmakers. He joked that he has yet to do any damage to the walls of the Capitol zipping around on his small yellow vehicle.Lawmakers had a pamphlet on their desks about the debilitating disease that affects the central nervous system and causes a loss of muscular control that makes it difficult for victims to walk and perform other physical tasks.
