Barbra Streisand and composer Stephen Sondheim reportedly are putting their heads together to see if they can come up with a musical.
The New York Daily News quoted sources as saying the two had talked a while back and that two weeks ago they decided to go ahead with the project. Streisand's spokesman, Lee Solters, responded by saying: "She is loaded with projects. Nothing's definite. This is just one project she is considering. They have tremendous mutual respect and admiration."The News said the Streisand-Sondheim collaboration most likely would be a movie rather than a play because it was unlikely she would be interested in the grind of eight Broadway performances a week. But Solters said a play isn't out of the question.
"Nothing's impossible," he said. "A lot of Broadway producers would love to have her."
