A Salt Lake County man suffered first-degree burns on his face and hands when he tried to fuel a steam cleaner Wednesday afternoon.

Mitchell Miller, 21, was pouring gasoline into an steam-cleaning engine about noon when fumes were ignited by the pilot light of a nearby propane water heater, said Salt Lake County Fire Capt. Gail Kidd.The accident occurred in a vacant building at 3553 S. Main. Miller was treated at St. Mark's Hospital Wednesday afternoon and then released.
