The Nebo School Board approved Tuesday a revision of its organization, changing the tenure of board president and vice president from one year to two.
The change is in line with state school board policies for local school associations.Previously, the board elected a vice president, who after a year automatically become president for one year. The new policy makes no provision for automatic succession.
The current president, J. Collin Allan, will serve one more year, and a new president will be elected in January 1990.
In other action, Errol Smith, Nebo School District business administrator, was reappointed to that position for another two-year term, and Don J. Applegate, a teacher at Salem Elementary School, was honored in a "Thank a Teacher" presentation by the Nebo PTA.
