A Salt Lake woman was blindfolded and raped after two men forced her into their car.

The woman, 21, was walking east on Sixth South near West Temple about 2 a.m. when a car pulled up and parked in front of her. The passenger asked her if she wanted a ride. When she didn't respond, the passenger exited the car, grabbed her and pushed her into the car, according to a police report.

While one man drove around, the passenger blindfolded the victim and raped her. The two men then traded places but the second man was unsuccessful in his attempt to rape her, the police report said.

The assailants then stopped the car near 200 S. Main and forced the woman out.
