Northern Utah was blanketed Tuesday in a storm that moved in just ahead of rush-hour traffic, causing more than 100 minor accidents in the Salt Lake Valley. A half inch to 6 inches of snow fell along sections of the Wasatch Front. Meteorologist William J. Alder said an inch or two of snow was recorded in southeastern Utah. Snowbird, Brighton, Solitude and Alta ski resorts all reported 14 inches of new snow. National Weather Service meteorologists said a cold front and scattered snow moved steadily through southeastern Utah Wednesday morning. A few light snow showers continued over other parts of the state. Temperatures Wednesday morning were 1 degree above zero at Myton, Duchesne County; 28 in Kanab; 19 at the Salt Lake International Airport and Cedar City; 7, Delta; 5, Dugway; and 13 in Price.
